Representatives from across Europe met in Greece on 9–10 June for the second transnational meeting of YouthSOFTPOWER, an initiative aimed at equipping young people with essential soft skills, raising awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and encouraging civic action through Official Development Assistance (ODA) frameworks.

Hosted by Liofyllo Social Cooperative Enterprise, the two-day gathering brought together delegates from Consulta Europa (Spain, project coordinator), the University of La Laguna (Spain), Ecological Innovation Association – ECO-IN (Türkiye), Keuropa ry (Finland), and West Ukrainian National University (Ukraine).

Building practical toolkits for civic action

A core focus of the sessions was refining the project’s flagship educational deliverables. Partners advanced plans for the upcoming Youth Advocacy Guide, designed to offer practical frameworks for young individuals seeking to drive inclusive, sustainable change within their local communities.

Delegates also aligned strategies for the SDG Digital Toolkit. The resource will blend interactive learning methods with real-world case studies to help educators, youth workers, and young participants engage directly with global sustainability targets.

To broaden public reach, the consortium outlined a multimedia campaign featuring podcasts, vlogs, webinars, and short video formats tailored for digital platforms.

Digital platform and next steps

Work is also underway on the project’s central digital learning hub, which will host all open-access resources, training materials, and interactive content developed throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinated by Consulta Europa, the meeting enabled partners to review technical progress, update implementation schedules, and clarify responsibilities for the next phase of work.
