SUMMARY:Women Leading Rural Innovation: From Vision to Action
DESCRIPTION:The FLIARA Project’s Final Conference will gather researchers, policymakers, innovation support facilitators, and civil society representatives to spotlight the vital contribution of women in shaping the future of rural areas and sustainable agriculture. Scheduled during Rural Women’s Week, the conference offers a crucial platform to deliberate on the role of women in forging sustainable futures in farming and rural communities.\nThe event will be hosted at the European Committee of the Regions (Rue Belliard 99, 1040, Brussels), in Room JDE 51, on 17th October 2025.\nAttendees will gain insights from key findings across more than 200 case studies, learn about proven policy frameworks, and explore practical tools – all developed to empower female innovators in rural settings throughout Europe.\nPolicymakers from local, national, and EU levels are warmly invited to engage with the outcomes and contribute to the progression of inclusive and gender-responsive rural policy. As every innovation journey presents successes, opportunities, hurdles, and challenges, the Policy Practice Workshop will delve into the specific issues and difficulties encountered by female entrepreneurs, drawing on insights from over 200 case studies. Working in multi-actor groups, participants will dissect these challenges and the workarounds that have been developed. This collaborative analysis will directly inform the creation of tailored policy briefs, designed to influence European, national, and regional policy guidance. A dedicated policy session will introduce the project’s policy briefs and booklet, followed by an interactive workshop aimed at embedding these recommendations within broader EU strategies.\nThe FLIARA Final Conference endeavours to galvanise action, inform future policy directions, and foster a more inclusive and sustainable rural Europe by demonstrating impact and promoting knowledge exchange.\nRegister today! https://bit.ly/43BvwKx\n
