Michelle Perello

She holds a MA in International and Diplomatic Sciences and a Phd at Politecnico di Torino.
She has been working since 2004 as freelance consultant in EU programmes and funding and politics for innovation and territorial development. She established Consulta Europa in 2009 and settled the company in Gran Canaria.
Her main research interests are regional and European innovation policies, social innovation, business and innovation models.




Cira Mendoza

Researcher and Project Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Economics and MSc in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC). She also completed a PhD in Applied Economics, granted with a pre-doctoral contract from the Canary Islands government.
She is also a lecturer at the ULPGC and has done research on several projects related to her principal area of interest: economy applied to tourism and transport. Nowadays , she is also working on proyect Interreg Europe RESOR.

José Benedicto

Researcher and Project Manager

PhD in human geography in Brunel University London (United Kingdom) and master equivalent in business management by the Universidad de Valencia.
He has experience in: the evaluation of the socio-economic impact of conservation projects, sustainability in small islands, multi-criteria analysis and participative decision-making.
Researcher in Consulta Europa since 2017 and, at the same time, he is managing the Interreg Europe GROW RUP project.

Javier López Murcia

Project Manager 

Graduate in Business Administration and Management and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Coastal Management.
He has experience in eco-sanitation and solid and liquid waste management proyects. Apart from this, sustainable development, Circular Economy and marine and coastal conservation constitute his main research areas.
In Consulta Europa, he deals with the development and management of Horizon 2020 projects, including URBAN-WASTE project, among others.



Tania González


Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management, she is currently finishing her Final Degree Project in Circular Economy and its application in the Ultraperipheral Regions. He completed one year of his career with an Erasmus + scholarship specializing in Community Law and European Institutions. He started at Consulta Europa doing his university practices at the beginning of 2018. He is currently in charge of the administration of the company and cooperates as a project assistant in Urban Waste or Ruritage.
