GROW RUP: Joint Interregional Analysis – Employment and green and blue jobs in outermost regions
Consulta Europa has collaborated in the drafting of the Joint Interregional Analysis – Employment and green and blue jobs in outermost regions of the Interreg Europe GROW RUP project. This project, led by the Canary Islands Employment Service, involves five European outermost regions (ORs): the Azores, the Canary Islands, Madeira, Martinique and Reunion. GROW RUP supports the creation and growth of innovative companies in the field of green and blue economy, with a particular focus on long-term unemployed people in the ORs. The present analysis has provided the opportunity to assess the current situation of the project partner regions, their main challenges (threats associated with their remoteness, high unemployment rates, lack of skills and awareness …) and what kind of measures and better practices are being implemented.
