Sustain your life through social entrepreneurship

24 months Erasmus+, Strategic Partnership for Youth

The project aims at the creation of a favourable environment to encourage and enable young people to pursue social entrepreneurship in their local communities. In a period when Europe and its neighbours face an economic crisis that has increased levels of youth unemployment and reduced youth participation in the labour market, the project aims at promoting social entrepreneurship as a sustainable way to address these challenges. Indeed, entrepreneurship and self-employment could help young people to develop new key competences, respond to the emerging social needs and fully participate in society. The project will produce a serie of intellectual outputs: an analysis of the state of art of social entrepreneurship, a training programme with the aim of involving young entrepreneurs, who would like to embark on social start-ups and self-employment initiatives, in training courses on social entrepreneurship and innovation and the design of an online portal that will provide youngsters with free learning materials. In addition, a final international seminar along with local multiplier events in all participating countries will be organised. Through these seminars the project results and outputs will be also presented to policy makers and civil society in order to share lessons learned and to understand how to convert the project experience into new initiatives.
